Well, it is time for more surgery. My doctor identified a developing inguinal hernia about two years ago and it has finally become enough of a problem that it required surgery.

There were a lot of delays at the hospital. I arrived at 9:30 and didn’t go into surgery until late in the afternoon.

This is the area before surgery. The surgeon helpfully marked the correct side with a sloppy “yes”.

This is post-op. They clippered me from about 4 inches above my belly button to about a third of a way down my thigh which seems excessive but, whatever, it’ll come back soon enough. The glossy stuff around the wound is a surgical glue. It is slightly rubbery like silicone.
Now it is up to me to take it extremely easy for a couple of days and take it pretty easy for about 6 weeks.
